Springman Awarded Outstanding Trucker Buddy

Trucker Buddy International has awarded Sonja Springman, a driver for Try Hours located in Maumee, OH, nominated by her teacher Géraldine Mazué and her Alain-Fournier Special Needs School class in Beaune, France.

Sonja Springman has been nominated for the Trucker Buddy International Outstanding Driver award by her class in Beaune, France. Teacher Géraldine Mazué of the Alain-Fournier Special Needs School sent letters from five students explaining why Springman was deserving of this award. From the pictures below, you can see that Mazué’s students really love Springman, and that they have enjoyed being part of the Trucker Buddy program. Springman has sent her class letters, postcards and emails describing her travels across the U.S., helping Mazué teach her students about geography, math and history.

Trucker Buddy International is proud to award Sonja Springman the Outstanding Driver Award, which will be presented to her at MATS 2018 in Louisville, KY.

“This program reaches way beyond a pen and paper,” said Fred Sweetwood, a long time Trucker Buddy and driver for over 40 years. “It paints the Rockies, the bitter cold of North Dakota and the devastation of Oklahoma City and Katrina. It brings America to the classroom through the eyes of a truck driver.”
