FALLS CHURCH, Virginia  - The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) today announced that its Managing Director, David Stevens, will compete in the Nation's Triathlon in Washington, DC on September 11, 2011 in support of Trucker Buddy International. TRIB has created a special page on its website (http://www.retread.org/?page=TruckerBuddy) to allow TRIB members and non-members alike to easily make a donation in support of Trucker Buddy.

"It's a fun way to leverage the power of our members to support Trucker Buddy's great organization and deliver a higher level of donations than we could on our own" said TRIB Managing Director David Stevens. "Plus, it's great motivation in training for the 32-mile swim/bike/run knowing that the effort will go into supporting Trucker Buddy and the more than 2,300 truckers and 60,000 students that participate in the program."

"TRIB has been a longtime supporter of Trucker Buddy and we are excited about David including us in his bid to compete in the Nation's Triathlon" said Trucker Buddy International Executive Director Randy Schwartzenburg. "The drivers, students and teachers of our organization are grateful for the creative support.  Both organizations are fulfilling the missions of improving the image and education of the trucking industry.  We are proud to work with TRIB."
